Interhealth Canada has signed a debt package for the Zywiec Hospital PPP
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the FM Bank PBP (Biz Bank) have now approved the terms of the financing, design, construction, equipment, operation and transfer of the deal.
The ERBD will provide a Euro equivalent €10m (PLN 43m) senior secured loan to be provided in parallel to €13m (PLN 57m) financing to be provided by the Polish commercial bank. The EBRD’s target board date for consideration is 10 December 2014. The project is expected to cost €45m.
Concessionaire Interhealth Canada signed the loan agreement on 12 November 2014. The PPP contract was signed on 15 September 2011 and does not include availability payments.
The hospital will be managed and run by Interhealth Canada until 2045. It will be the first health PPP project in Poland that will combine the construction and medical services in the concession.
Construction will begin in the first quarter of 2015. The new hospital will have 380 beds and will be ready to receive patients by 2017. Spanish firm Aldesa Construcciones is the contractor.
